Wildflower Mini Sessions at Beacon Hill Park | Victoria BC Family Photographer
This spring, something magical happened in the heart of Victoria. Amid blooming camas and golden buttercups, I had the absolute joy of photographing eleven families during our Wildflower Mini Sessions at Beacon Hill Park.
Beacon Hill is one of my favourite locations to shoot—it’s a place where nature quietly puts on its best show. Every year, the Garry Oak meadow transforms into a sea of wildflowers, and this year’s light was golden, soft, and everything we could have hoped for. These quick, 10-minute sessions were proof that you don’t need a lot of time to capture connection, personality, and the sweet chaos of family life.
From barefoot babies to siblings picking flowers to parents wrapped up in a hug—they were some of the most heartwarming, joy-filled moments I’ve had behind the lens this season.
If you’re looking for natural light family photography in Victoria, BC, these mini sessions offer a relaxed, nature-filled experience that feels like a little breath of fresh air. No forced poses, no rush—just time to enjoy your people in one of the most beautiful corners of Vancouver Island.

Why Families Love Mini Sessions:
