I recently had the privilege of photographing a beautiful family at Beaver and Elk Lake in South Saanich. The tranquil setting provided the perfect backdrop for this chapter of their story—a family on the cusp of exciting change, not only with the imminent arrival of their second child, but also with Adam stepping up to run for his first provincial Member of the Legislative Assembly seat as a Conservative.
There’s something remarkable about seeing someone who is so deeply rooted in his family take on the challenge of public service. Adam's courage to run for office is inspiring, especially in these uncertain times. But what stands out even more is his unwavering dedication to his wife, Sarah, and their growing family.
During our session, Sarah, glowing with the expectancy of their second child, was the picture of grace and strength. Her warm smile and gentle embrace of her son showcased the quiet resilience that is so essential in family life. Their toddler, full of energy and curiosity, brought the session to life with his playful spirit, a reminder of the joy that children bring, even in the midst of new challenges.
As we moved through the golden light filtering through the trees at the lake, the family’s love and commitment to one another became even more evident. It was in the small moments—the way Adam protectively held Sarah's hand, how they both beamed at their son’s little antics—that I saw the true depth of their connection.
"This is more than just a family portrait session. It’s a testament to the strength of love and the courage it takes to lead—whether in the home or in public office."

What struck me most was how Adam balances the weight of public life with the responsibilities at home. His campaign reflects his passion for the community, yet it’s clear that his greatest passion remains his family. He knows that the decisions he makes, both as a politician and a father, will shape the future not only for his own children but for all families in British Columbia.
This is more than just a family portrait session. It’s a testament to the strength of love and the courage it takes to lead—whether in the home or in public office.
As Sarah prepares to welcome their new baby any day now, and Adam steps onto the political stage, they do so grounded in the values that matter most: family, responsibility, and community.
