Joseph and Ashley celebrated the sacrament of marriage with a full mass ceremony at Our Lady of the Assumption, tucked away in the rural landscape of Saanichton, BC. This modest catholic chapel (still consecrated) stands as a quiet testament to the enduring appeal of tradition. This charming chapel offers something increasingly rare in today’s world: a space where simplicity meets spirituality. It’s not grand or ornate, but that’s precisely its allure.

Surrounded by lush farmland and rolling fields, Our Lady of the Assumption offers a peaceful setting that feels worlds away from the bustle of city life. From the chapel grounds, there’s a stunning view of the ocean in the distance, where the land gently meets the water, creating a serene backdrop.

From here we traveled to Island View Beach, just a short drive from the chapel, this public beach provides a breathtaking spot for capturing bride and groom portraits. With its expansive shoreline, gentle waves, and stunning views of the Gulf Islands, this beach offers a naturally beautiful setting that perfectly complements the romance of a wedding day.

Ashley and Joseph celebrated their reception at Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse, where rustic charm and modern elegance created a memorable setting for their special day. The expansive grounds, surrounded by apple trees and with a distant ocean view, provided a picturesque backdrop. Inside the farmhouse, expansive ceilings and bright natural light filled the space, enhancing the warm, inviting atmosphere. Guests enjoyed a family-style luncheon, savoring delicious dishes served amidst the lively chatter and the strains of live music. Children took full advantage of the spacious grounds, playing happily while the adults relaxed and conversed, making the celebration a joyous blend of relaxation and festivity.
